WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

Our fees are calculated as a % of the PAID claims that appear on your remittance advice each month. Current rate is 2%. 
We do not charge for unpaid or unprocessed claims.
Our fee of 2% also applies to all Third Party billing.
No contract required.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET SET UP FOR OHIP BILLING WITH BTMB?

For established physicians who already have an OHIP provider number and MCEDT account it takes 48 hours.

For new graduates/new physicians you will need to apply to MOH for a provider number and have banking info set up with the MOH.
(this process can take from 4- 8 weeks to complete)
Confirmation of your OHIP number will be mailed to you.
This letter will contain your provider number and will also contain important information required to set up your MCEDT account.
Our billing specialists can assist you with your application for a billing number as well as set up of your MCEDT account.
Once we have your billing number and MCEDT account information we can have you setup in 48 hrs

HOW DO I GET MY BILLINGS TO YOU?

For physicians who work in Thunder Bay we can arrange a once weekly pick up of your billings from your office. Faxing to our office or drop off at physician lounge located in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre are other options.

WHAT INFORMATION IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO SUBMIT CLAIMS TO MOH?

Our cloud based software is directly linked to the MOH servers and all patient information is securely stored.
In order to submit claims to MOH we require:
Patient Name/Date of Birth/Gender/OHIP Number
Date of service/time of service for premium codes
Location of service Office/ER Dept/In Patient/Out Patient
Facility number if service took place in a Facility/Hospital
Diagnosis either written or diagnostic code
Service Code/Referring # Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Midwife (for consults)

WHAT TYPE OF REPORTS ARE PROVIDED TO THE PHYSICIAN?

Each month along with your invoice we provide each client with a detailed payment report which list  your paid claims.  These same reports can be emailed to you if you prefer that option.
